Patience and the joy of capturing life brought Rommel to take up photography. In a career span of 5 years he has photographed emotions, celebrations, lifestyle, nature and still objects for a magazine, website and for freelance clients.

A resident of Bandra, Mumbai, Rommel took the road less traveled. He built a name in photography based on his relentless hard work and constant search for those precious moments that make a picture sparkle in the sun. He says, “You have to do the best you can at whatever you do, perfection is just around the corner”

Graduated with a First Class in B.M.M., he found the calling in photography. He enrolled in the National Institute of Photography to pursue his goal in this humble profession. “Photography is a part of me, I’m the happiest when I’m clicking pictures”, he says.

He went on to work with renowned fashion photographer Colston Julian as his assistant and worked and learned industry techniques which he uses till today. His zeal to better his work pushed him to work with Hillroadmedia- a custom content publishing agency and today holds the position of a Senior Photographer/ Senior executive Pre Press for an U.K. based Indian magazine called ‘Right Choice’ set the ball rolling for him. His assignment was to mirror the life, events and activities of Bandra on this local website. Pleased with his talent, he was in-charge of pictures for Vision Asia, a magazine for Indians living in Australia and New Zealand.

He was then entrusted with the Afternoon, Despatch and Courier supplements. He oversaw the pictures for this newspaper supplements as well as clicked pictures for the paper.

Rommel has worked on a hue of projects; Right Choice magazine , Vision Asia magazine, Afternoon Despatch and Courier, as well as free lance assignments ranging from Engagements, corporate events, portfolios, travel pictures, etc

He worked for BIKE India and CAR India, a part of NextGen publishing as a Photo-journalist and is constantly exploring the many wonders of India and writes regular travelogues of the places he visits as well as a number of other articles on varied topics. He then went on to work for BikeDekho and became an anchor for their YouTube videos.

Currently , he works as a freelance artist.
